Acquisition is for the Manpower, Personnel, and Security Directorate/Visual Information Services Branch (MP53) to acquire Apple software (10.5 OS, Xsan2), AppleCare Xsan support, AppleCare Help Desk Support, Xraid spare parts kit and Xraid replacement hard drives. This requested hardware & software will enable VI to upgrade and continue to use of Apple VI-LAN systems. These upgrades include the client operating system (OS) from version 10.4 to 10.5, Apple Xsan storage file system from version 1.x to 2.x, Xraid storage spare parts kit (hardware), replacement storage drives (hardware), phone and email maintenance and support of both purchased and current systems. This purchase will update the major storage components of the VI-LAN system.
