| The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas is soliciting Proposals for selection of a Construction Manager at Risk firm for ZALE LIPSHY HOSPITAL - INTRAOPERATIVE 3T MRI.
UT Southwestern Medical Center will remodel 3,200 GSF of Operating Room area on the 2nd floor of Zale Lipshy Hospital to accommodate a new Intra-Operative 3T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (IMRI). Construction scope of work includes major reconfigurations of the Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems. Exterior precast wall will be removed and reinstalled to accommodate the placement of the IMRI equipment. The IMRI room will require both magnetic and RF shielding. It is envisioned that the Intra-Operative 3T MRI will require:
1. Operating Room (OR) € Sterile room for surgery and diagnostic scanning
2. Control Room € Area for technician to operate the 3T MRI
3. Preparation/Waiting Area € OR Staff to prepare for surgery and waiting during patient scan
4. Equipment Room € Are for the 3T MRI supporting equipment
There will be a mandatory pre-submittal conference on June 25, 2008 at 6:30 P.M. (due to surgical schedule) at Zale Lipshy hospital in conference room CR1 on the first floor. |
