Sealed proposals for the above reference project,
will be received at the Texas Department of Transportation,
200 E. Riverside Drive, Room 1A.1, Austin, Texas 78704 -
until 1:00 P.M. € AUGUST 8, 2008 and then publicly opened
and read. It is the bidder € s responsibility to ensure that
the sealed proposal arrives at the above location and in
the hands of the letting official, by the specified deadline
regardless of the method chosen by the bidder for delivery.
Printed plans are not provided. The plans will be issued on
a CD which can be printed by your local reproduction company.
Plans and specifications for this project can be found at
www.txdot.gov business,

Projects. You may contact one of the reproduction companies
shown on the list for highway projects to order printed
plans at your expense. The entire bound proposal-specifications
issued by TxDOT
must be returned as the bidding proposal. The bid document
proposal-specification book and CD of plans will be issued
free of charge by TxDOT to any general contractor desiring
to submit a bid and can be obtained from: TxDOT Corpus
Christi District Headquarters, 1701 S. Padre Island Drive,
Corpus Christi, TX 78469, Attention: Vance Woods,
Phone 361-808-2359, FAX 361-808-2245. For mailing,
please fax your request on company letterhead to
512-416-3080 or email your request with the company name,
mailing address, phone and fax number to Judy Gage at
jgage@dot.state.tx.us.
Project information may also be picked up in person at
the TxDOT Riverside Annex Building, 4th Floor North,
150 East Riverside Drive, Austin, Texas.
Minimum wage rates are set out in bidding documents and
the rates will be part of the contract. TxDOT ensures
that bidders will not be discriminated against on the
grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin.
It has been determined by the Agency that there are
probable HUB subcontracting opportunities in the scope
of the work for this proposal. A State of Texas HUB
Subcontracting Plan must be filled out and returned
with any bid, offer or proposal to be considered responsive.
If your response to this solicitation does not include
a HUB Subcontracting Plan, your response shall be rejected
as a material failure to comply with advertised specifications.
All prime vendors (HUB or Non-HUB) are required to comply.
Respondents are encouraged to become HUB certified. State of
