TEA seeks proposals to assist the agency with the development of a plan to expand the scope of work of the Texas High School Project (THSP) Evaluation to include additional funds and grantees. Recently, TEA has received additional support for the THSP Evaluation from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF). This additional support will add $3 million to the existing $8 million evaluation contract. The $3 million will be given yearly to TEA in $1 million increments beginning in December 2007 and ending in August 2009, with December 2012 as the final date for expenditures. TEA, with input from THSP Evaluation funders, has identified several areas of interest for evaluation, including examining which of a range of student-focused support programs implemented on THSP campuses are most powerful in increasing student academic achievement.
