Synopsis:

The U.S. Geological Survey, Central Region, GIO, NSDI Partnership Office has a requirement to acquire imagery for Santa Fe County urban footprint. Collection of natural color imagery over approximately 1600 square miles center around the urban footprint of Santa Fe, New Mexico. This project will collect leaf off 6 inch resolution natural color orthorectified imagery meeting ASPRS Class 1 standards. This task shall consist of two components, aerial imagery acquisition and digital orthophoto production. The delivery of this product to the USGS shall be in UTM Zone 13 North with data tiles conforming to National Grid specifications. All images shall be delivered to the government free of any restrictions on use or distribution. USGS has the opportunity to obtain all this orthoimagery from Santa Fe County at one-fourth the cost of the entire project because other agencies and local governments are contributing to this project. Based on information available at this time, and in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) implemented by FAR 6.302-1(2), the government considers this specified requirement as a sole source to Santa Fe County, Santa Fe, NM. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish these services at the same cost may submit a capabilities statement tot he contracting offices, USGS, PO Box 24046, Denver Federal Center, Denver CO 80225-0046 no later than the closing date of this requirement (05/26/2008) 3:00PM MST. Firms who feel that they can furnish the required services and provide considerable cost sharing are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcment, and such other materials which correspond to the required items stated herein. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. If no submissions are received by the above appointed time, the Government will proceed with noncompetitive award without further notice.
