Description
Description This announcement is to provide notification of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to enter into sole source negotiations for a Consignment Agreement with Biomet, for FDA approved Sternalock products. Biomet will provide various sizes and quantities to be readily accessible for the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. The Agreement will be for a twelve month base period with one, one-year option period. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112 and the Small Business Size Standard (SIC) is 500 employees. This requirement will be awarded on an unrestricted basis. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the product. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to Wanda Thomas, Contracting Officer within ten days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Veteran Affairs Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center will proceed with the intended consignment agreement.
