The price of the base vehicle will increase $280.00 upon execution of contract amendment. Contract begin date is estimated based on notice expiration date. Contract may be renewed upon expiration of initial term, to include this amended cost. |

| Sole Source Only Justification: | General Motors, which manufactures the vehicle, is now including side curtain airbags as standard equipment on the Chevrolet Impala Police Pursuit Vehicle. The cost of the side curtain airbag option for this vehicle was $296.31. General Motors will now include side curtain airbags as standard equipment on the Chevrolet Impala Police Pursuit Vehicle and the cost of the vehicle will increase $ 280.00, making the new contract price $ 18,314.00. Based upon the reason above, and the fact that no other vendor would be able to reasonably and economically meet the current needs and requirements of the State, competitive selection would not be feasible for this procurement.
Any challenge to this Notice must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the published date shown below and to the person identified below. Late challenges will not be considered. Only a challenge with documentation which sufficiently demonstrates and proves a prospective vendors ability to meet all specifications and other requirements of the Agency making the award will be considered. The documentation must indicate a price equal to or lower than the amount shown in this Notice. Critical changes to existing contract are necessary and best accomplished by contract holder. |
