The Alaska Energy Authority/Rural Energy Group is soliciting sealed bids from interested parties for constructing the Napakiak Rural Power System Upgrade, Tieline Project. The project budget is estimated to be between $900,000 and $1,100,000.

Small and Minority businesses, womens business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to participate.

The bid documents are available beginning May 27, 2008. Bid Packages may be obtained upon payment of a non-refundable One Hundred Dollar ($100.00) fee per set. Bid Packages may be picked up between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm at:

A pre-bid conference will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Alaska Energy Authoritys office, address as listed above.

Bids must be physically received at the issuing office no later than 2:00 PM local time on Tuesday, June 24, 2008. The issuing office reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received as a result of this solicitation.
