Description / Requirements

Bid Package #1 - Porter Hall and North Wing:

This project consists of but not be limited to the following: Removal and replacement of the existing fire alarm control panels as specified. Remove and dispose of all existing heat detectors, pull stations, bells, fire alarm system wire, and remote annuniciation panels as indicated. Remove and dispose of existing smoke detectors in student rooms including surface mounted raceway and wiring within North Wing only (Porter Hall smoke detectors to remain). Patch wall and paint to match existing from floor to ceiling and from corner to corner. Provide new smoke detector with 24 volt DC sounder base in each student room. Provide new smoke detectors, audio/visual notification devices, pull stations, fire alarm wire, and remote LCD for alarm annunciators. Provide programming of graphic command center located at University Police Department. Both dormitories may be occupied at sometime during construction. Cutting and patching as required. Asbestos Abatement removal as indicated on the Contract Documents. All work to take place within Porter Hall and North Wing at SUC Buffalo.

Bid Package #2 - Perry and Neumann Hall

This project consists of but not be limited to the following: Patch wall and paint to match existing from floor to ceiling and from corner to corner. Provide new smoke detectors, audio/visual notification devices, pull stations, fire alarm wire, and remote LCD for alarm annunciators. Provide programming of grraphic command center located at University Police Department. Both dormitories maybe occupied at sometime during construction. Cutting and patching as required. Asbestos Abatement removal as indicated on the Contract Documents. All work to take place within Perry and Neumann Hall at SUC Buffalo.

A complete set of Contract Documents may be obtained from Mr. Jesse Wendell, Project Manager, IBC Engineering, 2495 Tri Main Center, Buffalo, NY 14214, (716) 836- 315 ext 215, upon payment by certified check or money order payable to the "Dormitory Authority--State of New York" in the amount as indicated below.

Estimated cost: $550,000 - $600,000.00

Please include your Federal ID number, telephone and fax numbers on your certified check or money order. NOTE: Bid due date is subject to change if contract documents are not available when requested, therefore, please call to confirm the availability of contract documents. If the contract documents will not be picked up by the contractor, the Contractor will need to provide an account number for shipping of the documents.

Non-refundable document Security of $50.00, Bid Security, Contract Security, EEO/AA Insurance, NY State Uniform Contracting Questionnaire (Executive Order 125). See Contract Documents for details.
In accordance with State Finance Law 139-j and 139-k, this solicitation includes and imposes certain restrictions on communications between Dormitory Authority personnel and an Offerer during the procurement process. Designated staff for this procurement are: The Project Manager and ccontracts@dasny.org. Contacts made to other Dormitory Authority personnel regarding this procurement may disqualify the Offerer and affect future procurements with governmental entities in the State of New York. Please refer to the Authority s website (www.dasny.org) for Authority policy and procedures regarding this law, or the OGS website (www.ogs.state.ny.us/aboutogs/regulations/defaultAdvisoryCouncil) for more information about this law. All proposers, domestic and foreign, must be in compliance with New York State business registration requirements. Contact the NYS Department of State regarding compliance. In addition, business entities proposing to provide professional engineering services must obtain a Certificate of Authorization to Provide Engineering Services in New York State from the State Education Department. Proposals must be submitted in the full legal name of the proposer, or the full legal name plus a registered assumed name of the proposer, if any.
