Description
The National Institute on Aging, IRP, LNG, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with Illumina, Inc, San Diego, CA for the following: 1 ChIP-Seq DNA Sample Prep Kit, #IP-102-1001 for 6 each; 1 DGE-Small RNA Sample Prep Kit, #FC-102-1009 (1000980) for 3 each and 10 Standard Cluster Generation Kits ? GA, #GD-203-1002 for 2 each. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1 (b) (1). The cited authority is applicable because Illumina is the only source that can fulfill the requirements of this contract. Illumina is the sole source for Beadstation and Genome Analyzer I & II Genotyping/Sequencing supplies. Both Illumina Beadstation and Genetic Analyzer Systems were purchased by the Laboratory of Neurogenetics (LNG). The necessary supplies such as the Linkage Panel v.4 OPAs, Sentrix Array Matrix, Activation Kit, Genotyping Kit, Cluster generation Kits, Chip-Seq DNA and Small RNA sample prep kits have been specially designed and optimized to be run on the Illumina Beadstation and/or Genetic Analyzer. These systems are used for high-through-put genotyping and sequencing. A market survey was performed and no other sources were found. Delivery will be within 1-3 months. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 621511 and the size standard is $12.5 million. This acquisition is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition procedures and is exempt from the requirements of FAR, Part 6, Competition Requirement. Award will be made on an all or none basis to the lowest priced, technically acceptable vendor.
