| Description: |
Holyoke Community College is consists of eight major buildings with over 570,000 GSF on a 165 acre site west of I-91 in a suburban area of Holyoke. HCC is one of the larger community colleges offering 91 associate degree options and 45 certificate programs as well as non-credit courses, outreach programs and other community-oriented activities. Other than the Kittredge Center (2006), and the Bartley Athletic Center (2000), HCC was designed and constructed as a single project in the 1970's based on design by DJMH. HCC is known for having an atmosphere where students spend more of their day on campus than at some community colleges enabling both student organizations and additional academic activity. For background on the College, see http://www.hcc.edu/
The consultant will prepare certifiable studies, schematic plans, final design documents, and will provide construction administrative services for a variety of renovations, alterations, and modernizations of campus buildings, athletic fields, and infrastructure (including parking lots and roadways).
