Description
This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources of supply for the Governor Control Unit, aka Remote Functions Assembly, of the PATRIOT Launcher Application Kit for the 15 kilowatt, 400 Hertz Tactical Quiet Generator (TQG) Set. The current sourc e for this item is LC Engineers, Inc. The Governor Control Unit is NSN 2990-01-470-2888, P/N 13230E6623PA. The function of this item is to provide an output connector for connecting the generator power output to the PATRIOT missile launcher. Also, with PATRIOT, the over speed and short circuit protection provided by the standard generator set in the battle short mode is bypassed. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of the item is available from the Army. Suppliers capable of furni shing the Governor Control Unit must so indicate by writing to the Commander, US Army CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-E-EC (Greg Wesley), Bldg 1200 West, 1st Floor, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043 or via e-mail to Gregory.Wesley@us.army.mil. The response must inc lude a statement that the supplier will warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. The deadline for response is 4 Feb 2008.
