Description
The National Park Service (NPS) is intending to specify the use of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) thermoplastic waterproof sheet, manufactured by Sarnafil Waterproofing Systems, Canton, MA, as the waterproof membrane to be used in future memorial terrace repair. The NPS is not aware of any product that would meet or exceed the features of this product. The product is expected to provide 50 to 75 years of trouble free service; shall be built into the sheet at the factory rather than building the membrane on site; will not require substrate preparation; seems and flashings must be Hot Air Welded making the sheet a monolithic layer of material impervious to moisture infiltration; shall withstand continuous exposure to standing water; provide a 20-year material and labor warranty. Vendors who may provide an "approved equal" are requested to provide descriptive information in the form of brochures, specification sheets, commercial price lists and company point of contact. This sources sought announcement may not directly lead to a request for proposals. Interested parties should respond to this Sources Sought Announcement by February 29, 2008.
