This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources for spares Engines, 5 kW, 2-Cylinder Diesel and 10 kW, 4-Cylinder Diesel used on the 5 - 10 kW Tactical Quiet generator sets. This contractual effort is for a three year flexible long term contract with the quantity of 50 ea. (Low) and 900 ea. (High) for both NSNs. Request that suppliers provide the Government with their Production Lead time and a cost estimate for these items. The NSNs are 2815-01-350-2205 for the 5 kW Engine, Drawing # 88-21030 and 2815-01-350-2206 for the 10 kW Engine, Drawing # 88-21040. There are current sources for this item is Engineered Electric Company, CAGE 93742. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of these units is not available from the Army. Suppliers capable of furnishing these units must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USACECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-E-GN, Building 1200W, Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703-5023. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a unit from the previous suppliers listed above. The response should also include production lead times, number of years part will be available or any other information that could affect the acquisition, supply and delivery of the parts. The Government will consider parts from other sources that have the same form, fit, and function as the required parts, Alternate parts would have to pass extensive performance and qualification testing to ensure the parts meet the Militarys requirements, the cost of which would be considered in the acquisition decision. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. For more information contact Tuan Pham, (732) 532-5483. The deadline for response is Aug 28 2008.
