Title: Sources Sought for Army Network Management Data Integration Platform Adapters

This is a sources sought synopsis for written information only.     The purpose of this notice is to locate qualified business concerns for the U.S. Army Informa tion Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC), Enterprise System Engineering Directorate (ESED).     This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals, and no contract will be awarded from this announcement.    

Any interested business source is invited     to submit a written qualification statement expressing technical understanding of the requirement including relevant past performance (previous or current experience for the past five years).     The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential     qualified sources.

This is a request for information to determine if the commercial software market has out-of-the-box products subsequently referred to here as tools that can immediately integrate the Microsoft Operations Management (MOM) server data, Remedy ARS/ITSM server/database data, Computer Associates Aprisma Spectrum server data, and Managed Objects Business Service Manager (BSM) data into a Managed Objects server.     The Managed Objects data integration tools must interconnect or integrate Remedy, MOM, and Managed Objects server data for immediate display in another Managed Objects client environment in both homogenous and heterogeneous security environments.     The tools shall have the following features:

The tools shall operate in a S olaris 10 operating system environment, and must run concurrently with the Managed Objects software on the same Solaris platform.    

The MOM, Remedy and Spectrum integration tools shall operate without adding agents on the MOM, Remedy or Spectrum hos t platforms.

The MOM, Remedy and Spectrum integration tools shall be able to integrate and display in the Managed Objects operations console, the network device topology, condition and events from the MOM and Remedy applications or databases.

The Managed Objects integration tool for a homogenous security environment shall be able to securely interconnect and transport Managed Objects server data to another Managed Objects server so that it is immediately capable of displaying topology, conditi on and events without further configuration in Managed Objects server.

The Managed Objects integration tool for a heterogeneous security environment shall be a two-part application with each part operating in a different security domain.     The low-si de part shall be able to decompose object-oriented data as it exists in the Managed Objects virtual environment into eXtensible Markup Language (XML)-structured files and then forward and retrieve the XML files to a File Transport Protocol (FTP) server thr ough a Secure Shell (SSH) connection.     The low-side tool shall also respond to commands coded into XML files by the high-side part of the tool.     The high-side part of the two-part tool shall retrieve and send the XML files from an FTP server through an SSH     connection and recompose object-oriented views in the Managed Objects virtual environment.     The high-side part shall also decompose synchronization and control signals into XML-structured files for transport via FTP service.

The tools shall be conf igurable for connectivity and access control from the Managed Objects client console that allows entry of Internet Protocol address, account and password information to securely access the MOM, Remedy and Managed Objects servers data.

Capability in formation shall include: a past performance record including the following information: contract number, customer (DoD agency, other Government agency, private industry); Contracting Officers Technical Representative (COTR) name, telephone and fax numbers ; contract value and type of contract; period of performance; and description of product/services.     Provide detailed information so the Government can assess th e ability of the company to provide the described tools.     All of the information sought should be conveyed in no more than 10 pages.     Each response must reference the sources sought title.     The applicable NAICS code is 511210, and the small business size s tandard is $23 million.     Interested parties must respond to this sources sought synopsis in writing within 10 business days of publication.     All responses must be submitted via email to frank.liebsch@us.army.mil.     All data received in response to this anno uncement marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be protected from release outside the Government in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act provisions.     Availability of any formal solicitation will be annou nced separately.     This is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or an announcement of a solicitation, and no solicitation package exists at this time.     The sources sought synopsis is published for informat ional purposes only.     The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this synopsis, and submittals will not be returned to the sender.
