The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, St. Inigoes, Special Communications Requirements (SCR) Division, is engaged in the design, development, integration, test and evaluation, installation, fielding, certification, maintenance, life cycle and logistic support of electronic and communications systems, subsystems, and equipment. The SCR Division is surveying the vendor community for all interested parties for this Request for Information (RFI) for a five year multiple award IDIQ for RF amplifiers essential to meet the sponsors quick reaction mission functions in the field of Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Electronic Systems. Suppliers may respond for any or all of the following technology, which are desired:
1. Ultra High Frequency Satellite Communications (UHF SATCOM) Amplifier
2. UHF SATCOM (High Power) Amplifier
3. Multi-mode/Multi-band Amplifier
4. Dual Multi-Mode Amplifier
5. Multi-Port Multi-Mode Amplifier
6. High Frequency(HF)/ Amplifier
7. Amplifier accessories
8. Amplifier bundles, including price cuts or package deals

THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), BUT RATHER A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) from industry that will allow the Government to identify interested sources capable of meeting the requirements as stated in this synopsis. Vendors can additionally provide a capabilities statement of no more than five pages in length that demonstrates the respondents ability to meet the requirements specified herein. The Government is also interested in receiving commercial published price lists for items they believe meet the need of this RFI. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award, or be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties in support of the effort mentioned above. All data received in response to this RFI, marked or designated as corporate or proprietary, will be fully protected from release outside the Government. Failure to respond to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future associated RFP that may be issued. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website: www.fbo.gov. It is the potential offerer s responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any follow-on information. All responses should be submitted no later than 3:30 PM EST, 10 July 2008.
