This is a Request for Information ONLY. There is no solicitation package available. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Special Communications Requirements, St. Inigoes, is seeking sources to make a determination for this Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract, which may be capable of producing SATCOM Equipment in support of NAWCAD. The NAWCAD contracting office has a requirement for multiple companies to supply SATCOM equipment. The supplier should be able to provide any or all of the following SATCOM equipment:
1. Satellite Communication Modem
2. Satellite Communication Up/Down Converter
3. Satellite Communication Block Converter
4. Satellite Communication Video Encoder/ IP Accelerator/Multiplexer
5. Satellite Communication Antenna
6. Satellite Communication Repair/Maintenance
7. Satellite Communication Transceiver
8. Satellite Communication Power Supply
9. Satellite Communication Accessories
10. Satellite Communication Filter
11. Satellite Communication Turnkey Satellite System

THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), BUT RATHER A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) from industry that will allow the Government to identify interested sources capable of meeting the requirements as stated in this synopsis. Vendors can additionally provide a capabilities statement of no more than five pages in length that demonstrates the respondents ability to meet the requirements specified herein. The Government is also interested in receiving commercial published price lists for items they believe meet the need of this RFI. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award, or be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties in support of the effort mentioned above. All data received in response to this RFI, marked or designated as corporate or proprietary, will be fully protected from release outside the Government. Failure to respond to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future associated RFP that may be issued. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website: www.fbo.gov. It is the potential offerer s responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any follow-on information. All responses should be submitted no later than 3:30 PM EST, 10 July 2008.
