SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AVIATION GRADE METALS This is a sources sought announcement only. There is no solicitation available at this time. This synopsis is issued for the sole purpose of conducting Market Research in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This effort is to seek qualified sources capable of providing a wide variety of aviation grade metal products in a variety of shapes, sizes, dimensions and specifications to support US Navy aircraft repair requirements. The primary delivery point is the Fleet Readiness Center-South West, NAS, North Island, San Diego, CA and FRC-SW departments at Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, CA. The Navy has a need for aviation grade aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, monel, copper nickel, beryllium copper, alloy steel, steel, inconel products. The material is required tube form, flat, plate, bar, channel, angle, rounds and will encompass a wide variety of specifications, such as various ASTMs, various alloys, 7050, 2024, 4130, 6061 etc., and various tempers T7452, T7451, T7351, T3, etc., Also required are same heat lot requirements, same grain directions for material, galvanized products, Alclad products etc. Firms capable of meeting these requirements are encouraged to respond to this notice by September 3, 2008. The submission of this information is for planning purposes only, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any items or services. The information will not be returned, and no compensation will be provided from any response to this announcement. Proprietary information submitted will be protected, when so designated. Responses may be in any format, including the firms standard literature. The following key information is requested:
