This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for the upcoming procurement for FSC 5110 / 5120 Single Bit Axe, Combi Tool and Tool Handles. GSA Southwest Supply Center, Fire and Industrial Acquisition Division intends to issue a requirements contract solicitation for the proposed contract period of January 1,2009 December 31, 2009 with 4 one year option periods. Items to be procured are NSN 5110-00-293-2339 Ax, Single Bit; NSN 5120-01-240-2120 Combination Tool; and NSN 5120-01-296-3592 Replacement Handles. Items descriptions for these items are contained within the Market Survey. Delivery of these items will be to the GSA Depots located in Burlington, NJ (N3) and French Camp, CA (S3). The contract type will be a requirements contract, firm fixed price for the base contract period. An Economic Price Adjustment clause will be applicable to the option periods. The solicitation will be issued approximately September 1, 2008 or sooner and will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website http://www.fbo.gov. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package at the time of issuance. FedBizOpps provides all downloading instructions regarding how to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information regarding this procurement, including solicitation amendments, if applicable, will be posted solely through the referenced website.
Currently a market survey is being uploaded to the FedBizOpps website and you are encouraged to complete and submit back to Gay Ray, Contracting Officer, via e-mail at gay.ray@gsa.gov. The survey contains item purchase descriptions for the items to be procured and comments received will be valuable in the preparation of the upcoming solicitation. Please note, this is a Market Survey to be used in preparation of the upcoming solicitation this is NOT a request for proposal. All responsible sources (inclusive of 8(a) contractors, Hubzone, Veterans, Service Disabled Veterans and small businesses) are encouraged to respond to the market survey and may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
