Description
The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Kinemetrics Inc. to provide compatible replacement parts (including accelerometers, cabling, and software for recorders) that will work with Kinemetrics' manufactured products of digital and analog seismic strong motion earthquake recording systems and related parts. This equipment shall be compatible with the existing Kinemetrics equipment on site. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to award a firm fixed price IDIQ contract for the period of one base year and 3 possible option years. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the equipment that will satisfy the agency requirements. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Firms believing they can provide similar required items must provide supporting evidence that they can furnish the equipment identified above in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. All responses received within 10 days of the publication date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by FAX at 303-445-6345, Attention: Diana Patera. Responses shall include the firm's DUNS (Dun and Bradstreet) number and federal tax identification number (TIN). Firms shall also indentify themselves as either a small business or other than small business, in accordance with the size standard for North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334519, which is 500 employees.
