Synopsis:

The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Contracting Office intends to acquire four servers, brand Bradford Networks. Includes the following: Network Sentry 1200, Network Control Server manufacturer part NS1200, Network Sentry 8200, Network Application Server manufacturer part NS8200, Network Sentry 1200H, Network Control Server - Hot Failover manufacturer part NS1200H, Network Sentry 8200H, Network Application Server - Hot Failover manufacturer part NS8200H, each server will include Gold Support that includes 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET phone support, emergency phone support, new version and maintenance software releases and 3 day hardware replacement manufacturer part BNS-GLD. the requirement includes installation, also 2-Day Technical Campus Manager Administrator Training manufacturer part BNS-T2, and Standard License Key for 7,000 users manufacturer part STDLIC. Delivery and installation is required by 15 May 2008. This is a sole source acquisition with! Classic Networking, Inc. of Mechanicsburg, PA under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Classic Networking is the only known provider of these supplies and services. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. This acquisition falls under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items (section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within! the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded as a result of this quotation. This requirement is in support of the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD.
