The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, anticipates awarding a contract on a sole source basis to General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division, Groton, CT for services to perform system engineering and technical services to review engineering change revisions to the Vertical Launch System Interface Control Document (ICD), attend Interface Control Working Group (ICWG) meetings (including pre and post briefings), create Interface Change Requests (ICRs) and Create Change Incorporation Notices (CINs) to reflect proposed system upgrades and modifications. The anticipated contract will be a term type effort with a contract type of Cost Plus Fixed Fee. The estimated period of performance is four months with a level of effort of 1,085 hours. The government also anticipates including an option for an additional one-year period of performance for a level of effort of 2,890 hours. See note 22.This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable.
