The Department of the Navy, Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC), intends to issue a solicitation on a competitive basis to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, to provide 24 hour uniformed security services on USNS ships, located in the San Diego, CA area. The resulting contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Type (IDIQ) Contract with a one (1) year base period of performance and four (4) option years. This requirement will be 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business set-aside, under NAICS Code 561612.
The Government estimates performance under the contract commencing on or about 30 September 2008. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote or Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP will be posted to the MSC contract webpage (see below) on or about 19 MAY 08. Interested vendors are encouraged to register under the vendor listing. Additionally, it is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor this avenue for release of any amendments to the solicitation or synopsis.
