Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Air Force Operational Test & Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) will procure continuation of maintenance services for one year of the AFOTEC access control system. The system consists of four major components - the DSX software application, badge readers will all associated hardware, badge printing systems, and network interfaces, the digital surveillance system and the intercom system. This is to support AFOTEC security access control system requirements. The purchase will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13 regulations. Award will be made to Industrial & Commercial Security Systems, Inc., 2400 Comanche RD NE, Albuquerque NM 87107-4702. This requirement is considered sole source due to the fact that the DSX Access Control System and Checkpoint badge readers requires an authorized dealer. There is also a 2 hour response time requirement to Kirtland AFB NM for any maintenance requests. The NAICS code for this requirement is 561621 (Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths) with a small business size standard of $12.5M. This notice is not a request for competitive proposal and all other interested contractors shall submit a capabilities document which states their abilities on fulfilling this requirement.
