The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Campbell Scientific, Inc., to provide the following: TX312 HDR GOES Transmitters (8) for the Climate Reference Network. Delivery to be 30 days from date of award. Delivery to be FOB Destination, as equipment is GSA, to the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, Atmospheric Turbulence and Diffusion Division, 456 S. Illinois Ave., Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Authority: 41 USC 253(c)(1). Campbell Scientific, Inc., is the only known source capable of providing the required unit. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Evidence must be provided of ability to provide the required system. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. All firms responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). NAICS code is 334513, small business size standard is 500 employees, applies to this procurement.
