SCIENCE LECTURE HALLS 101 & 201 FINISH UPGRADES
Estimated Cost: $390,000.00 Class B license required Project Duration: Ninety (90) Calendar Days
Work includes furnishing labor and materials necessary to upgrade finishes in two (2) lecture halls at Science Building, 101 & 201. Work includes demolition, acoustical wall panel/wood wainscot system, acoustical ceilings, flooring, replacing tablet arms to existing chairs, casework, saw cutting, coring, doors, partitions, painting, electrical, lighting, plumbing, white boards, etc. The estimated contract value is $390,000.00. Bidders must have a valid Class B license. Liquidated damage will be assessed at $1,000.00 for each day completion is delayed beyond the time prescribed.
A mandatory walkthrough has been scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Friday, March 14, 2008. Interested bidders should assemble in the 2nd Floor Conference Room of Capital Planning, Design and Construction (CPDC) in the Corporation Yard (North State Drive) at San Francisco State University. Parking is available for $1.00 per hour or $5.00 per day in Lot 20 and Lot 25. Please contact Shirley Yuki at (415)338-1698 for questions and directions.
Bidders must register and download bid documents on line at http://www.planetbids.com/SFSU/bidframe.cfm. A CD-ROM containing bid documents, plans and specifications in .pdf format is also available on or after March 12, 2008 by requesting it in person and confirm availability of the CD-ROM from the Office of CPDC. There is no charge or deposit required for the CD-ROM. CD-ROMs will not be mailed.
Sealed bids are due before 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 27th in the Office of CPDC, or they will be disregarded. It is the bidders responsibility to insure their bid is received prior to the bid submittal deadline; the University assumes no responsibility for bids delivered late by the U.S. Postal Service of by any other means of delivery. A 10% bidders security in the form of a certified, cashiers check or bond is required with each bid.
Additional bidding requirements include a minimum 3% Disabled Veterans Business Enterprises (D.V.B.E.) participation or evidence of a Good Faith Effort to do so, Performance & Payment Bonds, Prevailing Wage Payments, Nondiscrimination in Employment and Fair Employment Practices. Advertising for potential D.V.B.E. participation will be required unless the bidder attains the minimum participation goal.
