The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) intends to issue an order for proprietary Scheduling Software to Ad Astra Information Systems, LLC, Overland Park, KS. The Ad Astra software produces course schedules and student enrollments for academic terms by combining the following inputs-extracted from the Academy's Student Information System: [1] Each student eligible for enrollment in the current term, the student's major, student's class standing, and the courses each student has yet to complete, [2] The structure of each of the Academy's degree programs, majors, and minors, and each course (and course dependencies) required for degree completion, [3] All rooms to host classes and laboratory sessions complete with a description about the room (i.e., size, facilities), and constraints on room availability, [4] All faculty eligible to teach, courses they can teach, compensation, and constraints on availability. In recognition of the Academy's need for the above prescribed scheduling capabilities, this order will allow the Academy to obtain this mission essential software. SEE NUMBERED NOTE 22. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further information, please call (202) 366-1930 or (800) 532-1169. Internet address: osdbuweb.dot.gov.
