Addendum #1 to C09-17- Savannah Arts Academy Covered Walkway

The information contained in this document shall become an official part of the original document and shall be acknowledged as noted on the bid submittal form. Failure to acknowledge receipt of an addendum will result in a status of non-responsive. Vendors are encouraged to review the contents of this document and respond accordingly.

The purpose of this addendum is to provide answers to questions and clarify items as follows:

Question 1: Is the walkway work going to be metal or wood.
Answer 1: Metal

Question 2: We have not been able to find the names for the prefabricated metal canopy manufacturers. Could you please provide the 3 manufacturers of the
Canopy?
Answer 2: Section 10530 - Protective Covers identifies these in part 2 products as:

2.0 Acceptable Manufactures:

1. E.L. Burns Co., Shreveport, LA.
2. Ditmer Architectural Aluminum, Winter Springs, Fl.
3. Peachtree Protective Covers, Inc. Atlanta, GA.
4. American Walkway covers.

Question 3: Are the light fixture staying or are we changing them?
Answer 3: New light fixtures shall be installed on the project according to Drawing A1.0. There shall be (9) Fail-Safe model FS-P-27-120-EBT2-ABP from Cooper Lighting surface mounted at locations shown. Code compliant circuit wiring shall run in surface mounted 1 inch thin-wall metallic conduit from fixtures to termination box with cover plate located on canopy leg at (illustrated on attached drawing AD1). Circuit and box will be grounded by contractor with 6ground rod near terminal box location. Owner shall make final connection from box location to power in building.

Question 4: Who will be responsible for providing the barricades for the project?
Answer 4: The successful bidder will be responsible for providing barricades for the project. It must be a safe and working environment around the student and staff at all time. We will be working very hard to have the Demo work done for the walkway over the holidays.

Question 5: How will the students be re-directed for entry or departure from the school while the walkway is being constructed?
Answer 5: The students and staff will work with the contractor to re-direct the student form the construction area. We will work very close and coordinate on a daily basic with the contractor.

All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
