SYNOPSIS - - - SYNOPSIS - - - SYNOPSIS - - - The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie Office Complex, 346 Marine Forces Drive in Grand Prairie, Texas, 75051-2412, plans to issue Invitation For Bids (IFB) TRM0001 to replace the sanitary sewer and storm drain at the FEDERAL CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION (FCI) TERMINAL ISLAND. FCI Terminal Island is located on Terminal Island, California in the harbor of Los Angeles, adjacent to San Pedro and Long Beach, encompassing twenty-eight acres. FCI TERMINAL ISLAND is a Care Level-3 medical facility housing federal inmates that require specialized or long-term medical or mental health care in a correctional environment. In addition, there is a moderate number of low and medium security level inmates who do not require specialized medical or mental health care.
The successful contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and tools to perform the work in accordance with the drawings and statement of work provided in the solicitation. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 - $5,000,000.
The solicitation will be available on or about May 19, 2008 with an anticipated bid opening date of June 30, 2008.
The solicitation will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) web site http://www.fbo.gov/. This requirement will be accessible to those companies deemed eligible by the information they provided when they register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) web site http://www.ccr.gov/ and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) web site http://bpn.gov/.
Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. The Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments and other general information, will also be distributed solely through this site.
Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Bid, Performance, and Payment Bonds, as well as residency requirements are applicable to this proposed contract action. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside (See Number Note 1).
