Notice Summary
Washington County has an ongoing need to dispose of surplus tires that are undamaged and
in serviceable condition. These tires can be new or used passenger car and light truck
tires of various size and tread design.

The County is seeking to establish a contract with a contractor to purchase these tires.
The contract provisions include the pick up of these tires at the County site, load the
tires, and transport the tires off site.

The following list of tires is covered under this Contract and will be picked up by the
Contractor:

- New "take-offs" tires from new passenger cars and light trucks (one ton and
below). These tires have been previously mounted and have minimal usage associated with
the delivery of the vehicle to the County facility.

- Used "winter" tires from passenger cars and light trucks of various brands and
sizes. These tires come predominantly from Ford Crown Victoria Patrol cars and have a
remaining tread depth of approximately 4/32" to 7/32". The most common tires are
Goodyear "Ultra Grip" P235/55R17 and Goodyear "Ultra Grip" P225/60R16. Additionally,
there may also be a small quantity of studded snow tires.

- Used "summer" tires from passenger cars and light trucks of various brands and
sizes. These tires come predominantly from Ford Crown Victoria Patrol cars and have a
remaining tread depth of approximately 4/32" to 7/32". The most common tires are Goodyear
RS-A P235/55R17 and Goodyear RS-A P225/60R16 "Eagle RS-A" tire, size P225/60R17.
