The equipment and components being purchased are spares from the original manufacturer of the MDR-8000 microwave radio. LGS is the manufacturer of the MDR8000 Microwave Radio. No other manufacturer has components and circuit cards that will fit into the existing MDR-8000. Also, use of any other components would void the manufacturers warranty. The spares being purchased must be identical to the existing equipment to fit and function properly, and must be form, fit, operationally and electrically compatible to the existing program equipment in order to maintain configuration management for interfacing. Anticipate FFP. Anticipated award date 31 Aug 08. Delivery within 12 weeks of ordering date. FOB destination. Place of delivery at NAS North Island, San Diego, CA. Justification and authority is FAR 6.302-1.
