The Work consists of improvements at six access gates along the west and south sides of the Security Identification Area (SIDA) and Aircraft Operations Area (AOA) at Richmond (Virginia) International Airport. The purpose of the project is to address traffic flow and queuing, fully coordinated with security, along with pedestrian access. The Work consists of selective demolition, minor grading and paving, relocated and new fencing and gates, and electrical modifications, and includes surface traffic control and coordination with the airport for maintenance of ground operations during the conduct of the work. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time, July 1, 2008 in the Commission s Conference Room, Airport Terminal Building Business Center, 1 Richard E. Byrd Terminal Drive. Bonding and licensing are required in accordance with the Virginia Public Procurement Act. A local business license is required prior to award. Bid documents may be obtained from Draper Aden Associates, ph 804.264.2228 upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit, by cash, check or money order in the amount of $75.00 for each set of full-sized plans and specifications.
