The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award to R.J. Electronics in Salem, Oregon for Twelve (12) Underwater Pan and Tilt Heads for acoustic monitoring system; Thirteen (13) 100ft. 4 Conductor Underwater Cable with 20 AWG, Teflon Conductors; Thirteen (13) Cable Connector Sets for underwater Pan and Tilt equipment and Three (3) Pan and Tilt Control Units for use with variable Speed Underwater Pan and Tilt instrument to be delivered to Stennis Space Center, MS by July 9, 2008.
R.J. Electronics is the only known source for this requirement because they are the only known source to provide this equipment and they are the proprietary manufacturer of the equipment. This will provide a continuity of equipment and standardization of repair parts to the existing infrastructure.
In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. However, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
