Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) Hospital Grade Custodial Services The MEDCOM Health Care Acquisition Activity, Center for Health Care Contracting, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, intends to award one non-personal services, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, task order contract to provide personnel, tools, supplies, supervision, management, and other resources necessary to perform hospital grade custodial services, utility support, landscaping services, and snow removal with the objective of presenting a clean, neat, and professional appearance at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) in Washington, DC. The base period of performance will be from 1 October 2008 through 30 September 2009 with four 1-year options through 30 September 2013. This competitive procurement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code is 561720. The small business size standard for this requirement is $15,000,000.00. Offerors must have at least 24 months of hospital grade Custodial experience within the previous five (5) years as of the due date for submission of proposals under this solicitation. Offerors may meet this mandatory minimum experience requirement through a Mentor/Protg Agreement (Small Business Administration or Department of Defense) or joint venture arrangement. The solicitation W81K04-08-R-0018 will be issued without further notice on or about 4 June 2008 and will be available for downloading through FedBizOpps (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). Paper copies of this solicitation will not be issued and telephone requests or fax requests will not be accepted. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled at 0900 EST on 1 July 2008 at Washington, DC.
