Synopsis:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to initiate a commercial item procurement for the spraying of approximately 8,715 gallons of herbicide solution at Prompton Lake in Prompton, PA; General Edgar Jadwin Dam in Honesdale, PA; Beltzville Dam in Lehighton, PA; and F.E. Walter Dam in White Haven, PA. The required timeframe for this requirement is 1 June 2008 through 1 July 2008. Contractors are urged to schedule a site visit to inspect all areas to be sprayed. In general, t he areas include both the upstream and downstream portions of the dam embankments. Solicitation documents, plans, and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDs) system webpage at https://www.fedteds.gov. Interested parties must register as a Vendor with FedTeDs before accessing the system. In order to r egister as a Vendor in FedTeDs, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system (http://www.ccr.gov). Interested offerors can access the data for this solicitation through the hyperlink established in the Federal Business O pportunities (FedBizOpps) system (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) announcement, which will redirect to the solicitation-specific data in FedTeDs. Registration for updates to plans and specifications should be made on the FedBizOpps webpage for this solicitatio n. The FedTeDs system does not allow for offerors to perform a search for solicitation data. All searches can be performed through the FedBizOpps system. Offers will be due on 4 April 2008 at 11:15 a.m. ET and can be faxed to 215-656-6798, ATTN: Linda M. Dobbs. Offerors are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. Hard copies will not be available. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code is 561730 with a size standard of $6.5 million. No other notification to firms for this project will be made. All contractors must be registered in the DODs Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
