The National Energy Information Center (NEIC) is seeking a Contractor who can deliver a unified contact center application, referred to as Call Processing and Management System (CPMS), and necessary underpinning technologies, to facilitate NEIC?s contact center operations. The contractor shall provide a concise presentation of its understanding of the major issues facing The Center and of the elements required in implementing the scope of work. Contractor should notify The Center of potential difficulties that might arise in implementing the work, and of major managerial or operational decisions that will have to be made during the term of the contract. The period of performance is 16 months from the date of award.
The NEIC?s desktop, software, and any technical issues related to computer and computer peripheral devices are supported by EIA?s Office of Information Technology (OIT). OIT also provides information technology, infrastructure support and telecommunications services including automation services such as client-server, web-server, applications server, LAN/WAN, desktop; interactive timesharing; data management, processing, and storage; disaster recovery, and any other IT-related services as required. The EIA OIT requires services that shall be done on time, at cost, are well supported and consistent with being a best practices service provider.
The EIA network connects the EIA headquarters with its associated remote field offices throughout the country. The EIA system is primarily Fast-Ethernet based on the local network, running multiple operating systems and transmissions protocols, commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and Government off the Shelf (GOTS) products.
