Synopsis:

The MEDCOM Health Care Acquisition Activity, Center for Health Care Contracting, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, intends to award one non-personal services, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, task order contract to provide hospital housekeeping and linen services at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), United States Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR), Dental Command (DENCOM), Veterinary Command (VETCOM), Great Plains Regional Medical Command (GPRMC), and Army Medical Department Center and School (AMEDDC&S); facilities on Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis, Texas. The base period of performance will be from 1 October 2008 through 30 September 2009 with four 1-year options through 30 September 2013. This competitive procurement is 100% set-aside for eligible 8(a) concerns. The NAICS code is 561720. The small business size standard for this requirement is $15,000,000.00. Offerors must have at least 24 months of hospital housekeeping experience within the previous 36 months as of the due date for submission of proposals under this solicitation. Offerors may meet this mandatory minimum experience requirement through a Mentor/Protg Agreement (Small Business Administration or Department of Defense) or joint venture arrangement. The contractor willbe required to provide all labor and materials at varied facilities with an aggregate total of approximately 1,392,313 square feet of floor space to be maintained in accordance with Government mandated standards/outputs. The solicitation W81K04-08-R-0015will be issued without further notice on or about 25 April 2008 and will be available for downloading through FedBizOpps (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). Paper copies of this solicitation will not be issued and telephone requests or fax requests will not beaccepted. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for 0800 on 5 May 2008 at Fort Sam Houston.
