Synopsis:

The Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, Alpena, MI, is soliciting for a non-personal service to perform roads and grounds maintenance service. Work includes general landscaping services, which includes grass cutting, using walking type or riding mowers. Trims hedges and edges around walks, flower beds, and wells, using hedge trimmers, clippers, and edging tools. Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, using shears, and other hand tools. Plans grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Waters lawn and shrubs during dry periods using hose or activating sprinkler systems. Picks up or carts away leaves, paper, or other litter. All work to be accomplished at the Alpena CRTC. The Government will furnish all roads and grounds equipment necessary to maintain operations. This solicitation has been set aside for small business concerns qualified under the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 561730. Interested contractors that qualify under these conditions are encouraged to participate and can obtain a copy of the performance work statement and solicitation by going to the website http://nationalguardcontracting.org or may request a copy to be emailed to them. All prospective offerors must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE Code) and be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. The solicitation shall be posted to the website on or about 19 May 08. There will be a site visit conducted. The time and date of the site visit shall be established in the solicitation. This solicitation is for 9-month firm fixed price type contract that shall be labor hours based. The anticipated award date is 15 Jun 08. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, it does not restrict the Governments ultimate approach, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation cost, the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or substituting a response to this notice.
