Description
The items to procure are Rotational Molds, NSN 953000X071414, and Pedastols, NSN 368000X073313. RIA-JMTC anticipates awarding a 3-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, FFP type contract using best value procedures. The minimum guaranteed q uantity is eight enclosure halves and four pedastols. RIA-JMTC seeks to procure molds, prototype parts, and production parts for large rotationally molded plastic parts forming a poortion of a trailer mounted mobile hydraulic system service and repair sho p. The chassis mounted pedastol part contains tool boxes and slide-out work table with numerous mounted tools and also supports the upper enclosure which is formed by two identical mirrored half pieces joined together. The enclosure half is approximately 96 long x 43.5 wide by 28 high with a 2 wide double wall, numerous inserts and an outer thickness of .125 possibly backed with low density foam. Pedastol is approximately 96 long x 86 wide by 28 high, molded as a hollow box with wall thickness of .25 and two broad areas to be made thinner for weight reduction by insulating the mold. This procurement will be solicited as a Full & Open competitive purchase. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is 14 Jan 2008. In order to provide a proposal, bidders must attend a Pre-Bidders Conference. The date and time will be stated in the solicitation. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
