| Opportunity Summary |
This notice is to notify vendors that the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife will be
purchasing a 5' Rotary Screw Fish Trap from EG Solutions. EG Solutions is the Sole Source
vendor for this product as they are protected under US Patent# 4,929,350.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR ROTARY SCREW FISH TRAPS
Cone
Main shaft: 3 " solid aluminum rod
Fins: 0.080" 6061-T6 aluminum sheet
Hoops: 1" x " aluminum square tube
Struts: " schedule 40 aluminum pipe
Covering: 18 gauge 304 stainless steel with 5/32" holes on 3/16" staggered centers.
Trim seal: 5/8" tube with 1/16" clamp strip
Pontoons
Dimensions: 24" wide by 10" deep. Length 5 foot diameter model 17.5', 8 foot diameter
model 22.5'
Sides and bottom: 0.080" 6061-T6 aluminum sheet
Top: 1/8" 5086-H34 aluminum treadsheet with attachment eyes
Floatation: Polystyrene foam with drain in stern
Handrail: Minimum of one on subducting side of the cone constructed of 6063-T52 1.5"
aluminum square tube 0.080" wall. 54" long x 36" tall with intermediate rail.
Winch: Minimum 1200 lb capacity winch with " 7000lb aircraft cable, 7 x 19 strand for
lifting the cone.
Livebox
Dimensions: 34" wide x 60" long x 22" deep.
Sides and bottom: 0.080" 6063-T6 aluminum
Perforated screen at rear: 18 gauge 304 stainless steel with 3/32" holes on 5/32".
Sealed to prevent escape of 35 mm salmonids
Debris removal system requiring no external power source
Decks
1/8" 5086-H34 aluminum treadsheet
Aluminum livebox lid hinged to rear of trap with 2" continuous aluminum hinge
Beams
5 foot diameter model: two beams 3" x 3" x " wall aluminum square tube, two beams 2" x 3"
x 1/8" wall aluminum square tube.
8 foot diameter model: two beams 3" x 3" x " wall aluminum square tube, one beam 2" x 3"
x " wall aluminum square tube, one beam 2" x 3" x 1/8" wall aluminum square tube.
Hardware
Bolts: Hex head 18-8 stainless steel
Nuts: 303 stainless steel lightweight nylock nut
Quicklinks: AISI 316 stainless steel
Blocks: 3 " aircraft cable swivel eye block. Forged steel fittings, zinc plated finish
Wire rope U-bolts and thimble
Bearings: UHMW plastic for main cone shaft, cleaning drum, cleaning drum drive system.
Wear sleeves: stainless steel sleeves for all bearing surfaces.
Rivets: 3/16" large flange domed head blind aluminum rivets.

247-0275 (B).
