Synopsis:

The project consists of Roof Repair for Fitness Center, Facility 428, as shown on the drawings and as described herein. The project consists essentially of, but is not limited to, 1) the removal of existing standing seam metal roofing materials and temporary waterproofing tarpaulins, plywood, and associated appurtenances, 2) the preparation for and installation of a new spray applied polyurethane foam insulation and spray applied 100% acrylic elastomeric coating system over an existing roof deck, 3) the installation of a new standing seam metal roof panel and structural support system for the repair of an existing damaged standing seam metal roof area, 4) the installation of new metal gutters, fascias, and soffit, and 5) providing a five year waterproofing warranty for the installed polyurethane foam and acrylic elastomeric roof system. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238160. The approximate issue date for the solicitation will be 15 April 2008 with an approximate response date of 30 April 2008. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposal and will be issued on an unrestricted basis to all firms registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov). All prospective offerors must be certified and approved to perform this work by the manufacturer. The performance period is 60 calendar days. The project magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. The entire solicitation including the specifications will be made available ONLY on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) web site at http://www.fbo.gov. The solicitation can be accessed by following the link on the EPS website to: USAF Offices, Air Mobility Command, 436 CONS. Paper copies will not be made available.
