The intent of this solicitation is to award an Indefinite Deliver/Indefinite Quantity contract to furnish all labor and equipment necessary for the construction of rolling dips on Forest Service Roads on the Mendocino National Forest. The Forest Service will flag or stake the location of all rolling dips. Cost proposals will be solicited for four actual task orders. Bid Range - Task Order #1-Ericson Ridge 20N04 - Between $25,000 and $100,000; Task Order #2 - Atchison Area - Between $100,000 and $250,000; Task Order #3 - Green Pony - Between $100,000 and $250,000; and Task Order #4 - Valentine Ridge (M22) - Between $25,000 and $100,000. PROJECT LOCATION: The individual projects are located on the Mendocino National Forest. Project locations will be identified with individual task orders issued. Bonding shall be required for each task order issued as specified by Federal Acquisiton Regulations, Part 28.. Estimated start work date is September 15, 2008. CONTRACT TIME: IDIQ. A pre-proposal tour will not be conducted.
THIS IS A CASCADING SET ASIDE. Proposals will be accepted by, HUBZone Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Small Businesses, and Other Than Small (Large) Businesses. Proposals will be evaluated using a tiered cascading approach: when proposals are received, they will be opened for identification purposes only. The Government will evaluate only those proposals in the first tier (8(a) Small Businesses) and exhaust all negotiation efforts before pursuing evaluation and negotiation at the next tier (HUBZone Small Businesses). This will continue through the third tier (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses), and fourth tier (Small Businesses) before considering proposals from the fifth and final tier (Other than Small (Large) Businesses).
The solicitation will be available for downloading from this website on or about July 25, 2008. Interested contractors are requested to self-register below to receive email notification of any postings concerning this project, such as amendments.

This modification to original synopsis removes reference to "8(a)Small Businesses" in the evaluation of proposals in the set aside paragraph. The correct set aside for this project is as follows: CASCADING SET ASIDE.
