Synopsis:

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. FEMA has a requirement for 500 ton of sodium chloride (bulk Road Salt) Delivery is on a will call basis. Requires 10 wheel dump truck for delivery. In addition, 22 pallets of rock Salt Halite in 50 bags of approximately 880 pounds. One load to be delivered on or before 1 October 2008. 2nd delivery on or before 15 January 2009. Delivery shall be to DHS/FEMA 19844 Blue Ridge Mountain Road, Mt. Weather, VA 20135. This requrement is FOB destination. Provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial applies to this acquistiion. Offerors shall include a statement showing that the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commerical Items, has been completed in ORCA. Site can be found at www.ORCA.gov. Provisions 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Basis for award will be lowest cost technically acceptable proposal.
