USDA The Kansas Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is requesting bids for grade stabilization repairs on Rock Creek in Pottawatomie County, Kansas. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required for grade stabilization work along Rock Creek in Pottawatomie County, Kansas. The major items of work are: excavation and rock riprap.
To comply with the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act this procurement is 100 percent set-aside for local business in the areas covered by the disaster declaration. The counties covered are as follows: Barton, Brown, Chase, Cherokee, Clay, Cloud, Comanche, Cowley, Dickinson, Doniphan, Douglas, Edwards, Ellsworth, Harper, Harvey, Jackson, Kingman, Kiowa, Leavenworth, Lincoln, Lyon, Marshall, McPherson, Morris, Nemaha, Osage, Osborne, Ottawa, Pawnee, Phillips, Pottawatomie, Pratt, Reno, Rice, Riley, Saline, Shawnee, Smith, Stafford, Sumner, Wabaunsee, and Washington.
The performance time is 50 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000.

AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO SOLICITATION NO. AG-6215-S-08-0021, SCHEDULED TO BE RECEIVED BY 2:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME AT THE PLACE WHERE BIDS ARE DUE, JULY 7, 2008, FOR THE GRADE STABILIZATION IN POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, KANSAS
1. On page 31 of 42 of the solicitation packet, Section I.6, Clause 52.226-4 Notice of Disaster or Emergency Area Set-Aside and Section I.7, Clause 52.226-5 Restriction on Subcontracting Outside Disaster or Emergency Area are hereby deleted from this solicitation.
2. This procurement is being changed to remove all set-asides and is being solicited without restrictions.
3. All other conditions of this solicitation remain the same.
