Synopsis:

The Gifford Pinchot National Forest is soliciting prospective contractors to provide Asphalt Surface Maintenance on Forest Service roads on the Mount St Helens National Volcanic Monument, Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Work on 90 road will require shaping aggregate, application of paving geotextile, application of tack and asphalt placement on slumping road. Work on 23 road will include application of paving geotextile, application of tack and asphalt placement on slumping road. Application of tack is incidental to asphalt.

Contract time is 30 days after the date of Notice to Proceed with an estimated start work date of August 08, 2008. The NAICS code for this project is 237310 with a corresponding size standard of $31 million. The Government Estimate for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The estimated date of issuance for the solicitation is July 7 2008 with offers due on July 25, 2008. A single contract will be awarded to the offeror presenting the best value to the Forest Service based upon; Price, Benefit to the Local Community, experience; and past performance. Prospective contractors and subcontractors are requested to self-register below to receive notification of any postings concerning this project. The solicitation, and any amendments, will be made available at this Internet site. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Forest Service.
