This proposed solicitation is intended to complete 27.60 miles of road reconstruction on Road 46 (a double-lane paved designated scenic byway which connects two major highways). Work includes: asphalt, guardrail, horizontal drains, asphalt pulverization, roadway excavation, bridge curb reconstruction , aggregate base (commercial source), mechanically stabilized earth wall, pavement markings, bridge railing and other items. Project is located on the Detroit Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest (Marion County, Oregon) as well as the Clackamas River Ranger District of the Mt. Hood National Forest (Clackamas County, Oregon). The successful Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals to accomplish all work necessary. The Government estimate is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The successful offeror shall be required to submit Performance and Payment Bonds (100% each) prior to start of work. Contract time is 120 calendar days. Estimated start work date is August 25, 2008. This solicitation is a Total HUBzone set-aside. The solicitation packet will be posted to FedBizOpps on or about June 30, 2008. Proposals are due by close of business on July 30, 2008.
