| Description: |
The Bureau of Substance Abuse Services (BSAS) seeks proposals from licensed, qualified vendors to provide Residential Recovery Services (RRS) in the Greater Worcester area aimed primarily at serving Latino men. Priority will be given to vendors proposing culturally and linguistically appropriate services for Latinos who historically have been underserved by substance abuse treatment services. BSAS seeks to fund a residential program that employs innovative models of evidence based practices. Priority will be given to proposed programs that can clearly describe their capacity and plans for serving clients in a culturally specific manner.
Vendors responding to the RFR must have a license in good standing on file with the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services to provide Residential Recovery Services, or have submitted a licensing application by the deadline date for responses. For licensing information refer to www.mass.gov/dph/bsas. Vendors must also demonstrate site control of the facility housing the residential services. BSAS staff will visit proposed facilities before any technical review occurs. If the site is determined to be inappropriate for the target population, or does not meet ADA standards, the proposal may be excluded from further review.
Only those applicants who meet the specifications outlined in the BSAS Terms and Conditions and Standards of Care will be considered for funding. |
