The government has a need of technically proficient registered nurses (RNs), licensed vocational nurses (LVNs), certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNAs), and nurse practitioners (NPs) to support quality health care services at BAMC and WHMC.     I t is anticipated that approximately 300 health care providers will be needed at BAMC and an estimated 200 health care providers will be needed at WHMC starting in Oct 2009.     These numbers reflect both full time and part time/intermittent health care provid ers.     BAMC provides a broad scope of services, including a level one trauma center, the Burn Unit, Amputee Center, multiple Critical Care/Intensive Care Units, Step Down Units, Medical/Surgical Units, Pediatrics, Maternal Child, Surgical Services, ambulato ry clinics, and extensive specialty/subspecialty services supported by the Graduate Medical Educational program.     WHMC provides some of the same services as BAMC.     We encourage small businesses to reply with evidence of their capabilities in recruiting, re taining and managing a quantity of 300-500 health care providers (primarily nurses) in the San Antonio, Texas area.     Request interested parties provide information as to their capabilities and experience in providing similar services to the points of conta ct listed below not later than 8 January 2008 in order for the Government to develop a course of action.     THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS.     The points of contact are Cynthia.Lattimore@amedd.army.mil, C ontract Specialist, (210) 295-4357 and Gary.Hankins@amedd.army.mil, Contracting Officer, (210) 221-3876.
