Synopsis:

This is the second notice and is called the synopsis. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, located at White Deer, Pennsylvania anticipates issuance of a solicitation to replace PLC system on the generator switch gear at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) located in Brooklyn, New York. The successful contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and expertise for this construction project. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. This acquisition requires a specific brand name of system components. A justification for full and open competition will be posted on this web site along with the solicitation, outlining this requirement for all bidders to use only the Brand Name specified. This is not a brand name or equal condition. This project will be solicited on an unrestricted basis and is open to all businesses, both large and small. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238210, which contains a size standard of $14.0 million. The period of performance for the resulting contract is 90 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.ccr.gov and http://orca.bpn.gov . Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The successful contractor shall be responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes. There are no tax exemptions.
