SIR Description:     The Federal Aviation Administration, Southwest Region, hereby announces its intention to solicit a Request for Offers (RFO). This is a Total Set-Aside for Socially Economically Disadvantaged Business 8(a) concerns. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises:     The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts.     Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing.     The maximum line of credit is $750,000.     For further information and applicable forms concerning the STLP, call the OSDBU at (800) 532-1169." The nature of this procurement will be a service contract for the rental of a Boeing 737-300 simulator that has a cockpit configuration that meets FAA standardization requirements.     The simulator will be used to perform pre-employment check rides to determine qualifications and proficiency of Air Carrier operations inspector applicants.     The solicitation will request pricing for a period of one year. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this project is 532411.     Responses to this SIR will be accepted through January 24, 2008.     Offerors must have active registration in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before award can be made.     Offerors can register at www.ccr.gov.     Requests for a solicitation will be accepted through January 24, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.     Requests should be made by electronic mail to Constance.Powell@faa.gov.     If you have questions you may contact Constance Powell at (817) 222-4343.     The solicitation for this project will be issued on January 25, 2008.
